Abstract / Project Description:

Basically, what we intend to do is measure sounds travelling through
a gas of lower and lower pressures.
Why?
Well, we can use this to measure the ratios of the different gases in the same container.

If you think you want to read more about it,

The rest of our abstract is (kind of) here.

How did it turn out? Well...

Find Out!!! Other Interesting or Relevant Items:

This project was originally started by Vince Kuo and Dave Heck in the spring of 1996 (last year). This quarter, we intend to complete a circuit that will enable us to "hear" sounds at or below 20 torr. Last year, the lowest pressure obtained was 50 torr.
