Indirect Electron Tunneling
An experimental methods lab project
Proposal

Written during the winter quarter of the experimental methods laboratory, the proposal is a brief introduction to the project.  It is an introduction to the physics of tunneling diodes as well as a brief description of the project.

Poster

This webified version of a poster goes into more pictoral detail of the phenomenon of tunneling diodes.
This project utilized both electronic and numerical differentiation techniquies.  Included here is a description of the numerical algorithms used .
Apparatus
A description of the experimental setup is included, which includes an explanation of the "homemade" circuit as well as information on the instruments used for data collection.
Results
Finally, a presentation of the experimental results from the indirect electron tunneling experiment. Included here are comparisons between analysis techniques and theoretical interpretations of the data.
